Brawl Stars Hacker is a new game coming from the developers of Cave dug out of the dirt and onto the Wii. The game is all about a group of hackers who have hacked into the computer system of Nintendo and have made it so that you can hack into characters and levels and do all sorts of destructive things. It's not like Super Meat Boy, but it does have its feet planted firmly in the mainstream. With a story that will make you crack your teeth, have massive amounts of side quests, and enough pure fun to keep you playing for weeks on end.
The game starts off with one of the main characters, known as Brain, who is held captive in an underground facility. He somehow gets freed and begins to lead a group of people trying to hack into Nintendo's system and get it to work. You play as him and take on this daunting task of trying to get the system to work. It is up to you to save the characters and the game while hacking, shoot, fight, and grind your way through the levels to get items and weapons and basically just have fun in general.
The game has what is known as the 'side quest', which is basically a mini-adventure you can do while you level up. These side quests are great because they will often give you something of use or otherwise help you along your journey. While you play, you get the opportunity to interact with characters who will often teach you new skills to play with or against other characters. They also give you hints about how you can level up faster or give you tips on how to get through certain areas more quickly.
The game is very fun and will keep you busy for quite some time. While you are playing you will find that the characters move and jump really fast making it hard to keep track of them. However, they are very clearly drawn so that it is easy to understand what is going on. That and the fact that they actually look pretty decent.
The game is fairly old but that does not mean it lacks any of its appeal. In fact, it has some great games to play. The music is soft and mellow and fits the overall mood of the game. The characters all have their own unique traits and it is great to see them all behave in a manner befitting their roles. The game is mostly about hacking and slashing and is not too tactical as some modern games.
What you really want to do when you play this game is to hack and slash your way through the levels. You will hack and slash at waves of enemies as you try to get to the inner city. When I say inner city, I mean those hidden passages and doorways that are often left pretty vague until you find them. It is a great feeling to just get that much harder as you progress through the levels.
The multiplayer mode is where this game shines. You can play against the computer or another person. Although the other person can see you, they cannot shoot you or hack you so you must plan your attacks carefully. There are quite a few levels where you can fight head on so you really need to get good at it before moving on to the more challenging online modes.
All in all, this game is a lot of fun. It is fast-paced and quite violent, but it is also filled with mystery. Players who have enjoyed prior Escape Games, will love this one as it is even better! There are many other things to like about this game as well so it is worth checking out. If you have never played it or even heard of it before, it might be a good idea to check it out as it is an arcade-style game that is perfect for Halloween parties.
